Year 2 Geography: Our Local Journey
In Year 2, we have begun our Geography learning by exploring the topic of journeys. To bring this to life, we went on a journey of our own around our local area. As we walked through the tunnel to the woods and back to school, we stopped along the way to take photographs of different human and physical features we could spot.
We ended our journey in Barrett Gardens, where we observed a variety of animals that live in our local environment. We were excited to spot ducks, robins, squirrels, crows, spiders, and lots of insects.
This experience supported our learning in Science as we have started focusing on habitats, helping us to make meaningful links between the two subjects.
