13 May Year 5 – Royal Observatory Visit
Year 5 visited The Royal Observatory – Greenwich on Tuesday 3rd May. The children got to watch a show in London’s only planetarium, which they were extremely enthused about. Tommy said, “It was amazing, it felt like the whole room was moving and when it zoomed to the other planets, I thought they were going to crash into us!” They also received a workshop from a very enthusiastic leader, who taught them all about the Earth, Sun and Moon! Anas and Hayden learnt that there’s 86,400 seconds in each day (which is also how long it takes the Earth to spin on it’s axis). If you would like to learn some facts about our Solar System, come and ask a member of Year 5!
