27 Jun Year 4 – Science Museum Trip
On Thursday, Year 4 had a fabulous trip to the Science Museum. First, we visited the ‘Secret Life Of The Home’ exhibition which allowed us to explore the development of appliances in the home, particularly looking at how electricity has helped us. Then, we had the all important lunch! We finished the day by visiting two other exhibitions where we saw old-fashioned carriages, old style cars, models of boats, big machinery, space ships, rockets and, at the end, we gathered around a planet which changed, as we watched it, from the earth, to the moon, to the sun! What a fantastic day out. Here’s what some of the children said:
“It felt like a good treat to go on the trip. It was fun pressing all the buttons in the exhibition. I learnt things that I never knew before. I also enjoyed the packed lunch.” Elion
“I think the trip was good because we learnt lots of things and I also got to see the objects that people used when there wasn’t any electricity and they looked really different to the things we use today.” Anhar
“Today was so fun. When we clicked the bottons, things started to move. When we were gathered around the moon, it kept changing colours.” Niki
“I thought the moon was actually floating but then I looked closely and I saw it was being held up by wires.” Hareeshan
“I liked the trip because we played games on the train and when we went to the museum, we saw a bunch of science stuff and old fashioned cars and rockets.” Deyvid
“I enjoyed how the planet changed – it went from being the moon, to being the earth and then to being the sun.” Ayman
“I liked looking at the old things.” Ayoub
“It was really nice, we saw lots of things.” Angel
