11 Mar World Book Day at Alexandra

At Alexandra Primary School, we celebrated 25 years of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling. Every class across the school was fully immersed in the story through reading the book in our reading lessons, using it as a stimulus for our writing, designing and making our own hats and wands and even playing our own games of Quidditch!
On World Book Day, we dressed up as our favourite characters from Harry Potter, celebrated our favourite books and transformed our classrooms into museums, exhibiting our amazing learning we had produced.
Assembly: Alexandra’s Reading Ambassadors from Years 4-6 shared their favourite books in assembly. The whole school then paraded in our fantastic costumes.
