26 May Art Club – Cockatoo Fun!
Over the last few weeks, Art Club have worked hard to create cockatoos to celebrate the work of the author and illustrator, Quentin Blake, in his book ‘Cockatoos’. Each of us have created an armature, covered it in paper mache, painted it and then, today, we completed them by putting feathers on them. Don’t they look fantastic? There were a few sad faces when I reminded art club members that they couldn’t take their birds home… Because their cockatoos are flying off to our new library where they will help celebrate our love of books at Alexandra! Thank you to all art club members for their fantastically colourful birds.
